Hello!

Or tiervâ, as we say in Inarisaami. My name is Sammeli. I learnt the Inarisaami language in the language nest when I was little. We played games, sang songs, went on trips and had lots of fun. In Lapland we have eight seasons. Mum says it is because the nature changes and there are different chores to do. I like summer because I can ride my bike and play outside longer. When it rains I read books or draw indoors. Sometimes I make a tent in my room and go fishing with the fishing rod that I made in the language nest. Since I was little my mum has told me stories she heard from my granddad when she was a little girl. Some were true and some were make believe. Mum used to ask if they were true and he always said ‘What do you think?’ Fishing stories are like that, so now it’s your turn to decide if it’s true or make believe .
